Administrative law focuses on the law and legal principles surrounding
federal and state government agencies. A form of government regulation,
these agencies oversee and finance government programs such as air travel,
environmental and workplace standards, social and disability benefits, and
healthcare. Generally, administrative agencies are created to promote and
protect a public interest rather than a private cause. Congress and the
court system monitor the agencies, however, in our society, it’s
constantly debated as to how much government regulation is needed/wanted
in our private lives. Administrative law analyzes just how these agencies
influence the social, legal, and political spheres of American life.
